When is the best time to start the tour?×

You can choose the date of your trip from our list of guided tours, which have been selected with regards to certain highlights in individual locations. If you are a private group and you are not convenient with the date of our guided tour, we can arrange guided tour according your requirements. Click on Create your own tour” on menu on the left and fill in the form. If you decide for the self-guided tour, you can start your trip any time between the end of April to the beginning of October. April and October can still be chilly months in the Czech Republic (10 — 15 degrees), so make sure you bring with you appropriate clothing for the time of your stay. To make your self-guided tour even more special, you can choose the dates of your trip considering the highlights. 

Where does the trip start and terminate?×
Once you decide which dates are the most suitable for you, we can organize pick up from Prague( Vienna, Linz or Brno ), either from a hotel or the airport upon agreement. This is where the trip generally begins. We strongly recommend for overseas travellers to stay in Prague for at least one night to overcome the jet lag and start the trip the following day, refreshed and relaxed for upcoming adventure. Our agency can reserve a hotel in Prague for you for a fee. After the tour finishes, we transport our clients back to Prague, where the trip terminates. A standard trip can be extended by few extra days in any city along the way if you are interested. The cost of transportation (airfare) to/​from Prague ( Vienna, Linz or Brno ) from/​to your home is not included in the price. Trips can be started and/​or end in Vienna (Austria), Linz (Austria) or Brno (Czech Republic) upon agreement.
Which tour is the most suitable for me?×
You can choose from several guided tours or self guided tours and decide which one is the best for you. Guided tour A comfortable trip with the complete support of our agency, including an English speaking guide and a support van vehicle. Our guide will accompany you along the way and help you to overcome any problems and obstacles. He/​she will help you organize your daily programme, lead your group, transport your baggage and will be at your disposal during the entire trip. If you get tired, feel unwell or simply desire refreshment, you can use our support vehicle at any time. Our guides speak English and Czech fluently. They have a perfect knowledge of the terrain and the local manners. They can recommend you many interesting sites and restaurants that you would unlikely find yourself.If you are a private group and you are not convenient with the date of our guided tour, we can arrange guided tour according your requirements. The minimal number of cyclists for guided tour is 2. Self-guided tour This type of trip is suitable for clients that prefer to travel without a guide. We provide you with full support before you begin your trip, including detailed explanation of the bike routes and recommend places to visit and see along the way. You will be equipped with detailed maps that will have the daily routes marked out, GPS navigation for the routes, a cell phone with our hotline and other equipment for the trip. We will transport your baggage between hotels. As mentioned above, our self-guided tour has proven popular with those travellers, who prefer independent travel, as it gives them the luxury of choice and the feeling of self-discovery. What is the maximum or minimum number of cyclists per tour?×
Usually 2 — 4 cyclists or friends take part in the self-guided tour, but we can arrange it also for just 1 person. To ensure that our agency delivers the highest quality of service, the maximum number of cyclists for guided tour is 14. The minimal number of cyclists for guided tour is 2.
How do you support me during the tour?×
Guided tours The guide will start ever morning with a short introduction of the daily program. He/​she will accompany you during the day and will bring to your attention any interesting locations such as castles, fortresses etc. and will recommend you the best restaurants and local specialities that the Czech Republic can offer. He/​she will also help you with any defects that might happen on your bike. Our guide is there simply for you to relax and enjoy your tour and the beauty of the Czech Republic, so let them take care of everything else. Our support vehicle will accompany you during the entire trip and will stop in places that are agreed beforehand for refreshments. It will also carry your baggage. You can use this vehicle any time during the day if you are tired or feel unwell. Self-guided tours Each self-guided tour begins with a meeting with our representative who will provide you with a detailed description of the entire program for your trip. Our representative will answer any of your questions and prepare your bikes and other necessary equipment. You will be also equipped with detailed maps that will have the daily routes marked out. Your baggage will be transported each day after checkout to the next reserved hotel, so it is available to you when you arrive. You will only need to take a few necessary things with you during the day. Besides the detailed maps you will also be equipped with GPS navigation for the routes, a cell phone with our hotline in case of emergency and a booklet (Information kit) with all necessary information about the tour.
What happens if I feel tired or cannot continue riding during the tour?×
Guided tour The support vehicle is included in the price of your trip, which will follow you during the entire trip. This vehicle transports your baggage and will stop on agreed places for refreshment. If you start to feel tired you can use this vehicle any time during your trip. Self-guided tour The support vehicle is not included in the price of your trip. In this case your baggage is transported every day by taxi or by other hired car. It is not generally possible under these circumstances to use this vehicle for the transport of our clients; despite in some cases it is possible. If you feel tired or unwell you can make the daily trip shorter or use the railway for transportation to the next destination. In places where it is not possible to do so, you can contact our office by phone and we will organize a local taxi that will transport you to your next reserved hotel. We are a group and we are interested in other date or in other tour?×
If you are a private group and you are not convenient with the date of our guided tour, we can arrange guided tour according your requirements. Click on Create your own tour” on menu on the left and fill in the form. You can proceed in the same way if you have not chosen from our proposal of self guided tours. Even those tours are possible shorten, extend or adjust according your needs.
How the individual routes go?×
The tours go usually on marked cycle path — usually field or forest roads, less frequented roads 3rd or 2nd class, the main road only if necessary. Individual one-day-routes are marked in detailed cycle maps (measure 1 – 50 000) and in case of self guided tours the routes are set in GPS navigation. Each trail is a mix of interesting sights, scenery and options laid out for you every day and totally flexile.
If I get lost, do I have to keep exactly the routes?×
If you get lost, you don’t have to be desperate. The routes usually go from one sightseeing to another one and there is more than one right way. You have to orientate yourself in the map and you will find other maybe more adventurous way. And also local people will help you. If the given tour wouldn’t be enough for you, it is possible to extend your route. Our guide or our delegate will help you with the extension the first day during the briefing. What if my bike gets broken?×
Before the tour every bike is very carefully mended and prepared specially for you and your needs. Piece of equipment of every bike is basic tool, spare tube, tyre pump, puncture repair. Small reparations like flat tube or trimmed brakes you are able to fix by yourself. In case of bigger reparation there are many bike service departments where they help you. If there is a big defect on your bike which is not possible to repair, we will deliver you other bicycle. The guided tour is supported by a guide and he will take care and fix the bike for you.
What about food?×
You don’t have to be worry about food. Abundant buffet- style ‑breakfast, which gives you energy for your every day cycling, are included in price. There are many interesting and cheap restaurants along the way and it is only on you which one you choose. There are some restaurants which you shouldn’t miss, including local specialists, is in your Information Kit. If you love good beer and wine you will be very delighted. Every day there is a possibility to taste the local delicious beer, which has nickname liquid bread”.
In which hotels do we stay?×
Accommodation is always in the best hotels and guest houses, so you can draw power for the next day. You can also have dinner in the hotel you stay or you can use some of the recommended restaurants.
Is it possible to extend the stay in some of the towns?×
As we have written at the beginning, there is the possibility to extend the tour anywhere you want along the way. However, we have to be aware of this change in advance.
